Eric Gilliom Performs at Stella Blues for Two Nights Only
By Kristin Hashimoto
Stella Blues Café in Kihei will pair a delicious menu with music from local boy, Eric Gilliom, on Friday April 22 and Saturday April 23rd. For two nights, Gilliom will showcase his R&B soul, and funk fusion musical style.
“I wanted to mix it up, have some fun, and show my range,” said Gilliom. “People in Hawaii know me from my Hawaiian musical endeavors but I’ve enjoyed other musical vehicles throughout the years as well.”
Gilliom, of the Hawaiian musical group Barefoot Natives, is performing hits from Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley and Van Morrison. He will be selling his greatest hits album exclusively, at the show.
Gilliom’s musical credits include a Grammy performance with Jamie Foxx in 2010, tour with Mick Fleetwood, 2007 Na Hoku
Hanohano award winning contemporary Hawaiian album with the Barefoot Natives, and a myriad of musical theatre and screen credits.
Stella Blues Café is located in Azeka Plaza II, at 1279 South Kihei Road, in Kihei. Tickets are $20 at the door. Or, purchase them in advance, by contacting Stella Blues at 874-3779.
