Schofield Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

The U.S. Department of Defense confirmed the death of a soldier assigned to the 25th Infantry at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.  Spec. Brian D. Riley Jr., 24, of Longwood, Fla., died on May 15, in the Kunar Province of Afghanistan.

Spec. Riley died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, from Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
