By Sonia Isotov
Mayor Arakawa will be the featured speaker at the Holiday Meeting of the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, December 13.
The Mayor will discuss issues and trends affecting the Maui business community in 2012. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m., at Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu and the Mayor’s speak at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $20 per person, parking is free, and the public is invited to attend.
The Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce (MNHCC) membership includes business owners, not necessarily of Hawaiian ancestry, but business owners and leaders who share Hawaiian values and mission. The mission of the MNHCC is to promote and sustain Hawaiian culture and enhance the socio-economic status of Native Hawaiians in business and as individuals.
The Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce hosts a popular “Business Fest” every September at The Grand Wailea Hostel and Resort and offers free workshops and networking with the top industrial, scientific, commercial and political leaders in Hawaii—all with a focus on preserving and promoting Hawaiian culture and values in today’s world.
There will be opportunities to support local charities and drop off donations for The Maui Food Bank.
RSVP by December 9 to Kai Pelayo, (808) 874-2426 or email [email protected].
