Vehicle Thefts on Maui Dec. 4 to 10, 2011

There were nine vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between December 4 and 10, 2011.
There were three incidents each in Kihei and Kahului. The rest of the car thefts were spread throughout the island with individual incidents reported in Kula, Wailuku and Waiehu.
Five of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered.
The types of vehicles taken included three dirt bikes, a moped, a Nissan SUV, a Honda Accord, a Toyota Land Cruiser, a Dodge Ram pick up, and a Mercedes C300.

Kahului:
- Sunday, 12/4/11, 10 p.m.: Vevau Street at the UHMC Dorms. 2012 Black Genuine Scooter Co. moped. RECOVERED.
- Monday, 12/5/11, 6 p.m.: Kaahumanu Avenue at the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center. 1993 Blue Nissan hard-body with mounted camper. RECOVERED.
- Wednesday, 12/7/11, 12:30 a.m.: South Lehua Street. 2004 Black/Silver Honda 50CC dirt bike with Black Sano frame.
Kihei:
- Tuesday, 12/6/11, 5:45 a.m.: Keonekai Road at the Keonekai Villages. 2003 Green Kawasaki KLX400 SRA1 dirt bike with Oregon stickers on the fender. ID#: JS1SK43B232101180.
- Monday, 12/51/11, 6 p.m.: South Kihei Raod at the Kamaole Sands parkigin lot. 1993 White Honda Accord. RECOVERED.
- Thursday, 12/8/11, 7 p.m.: Akai Street. 1989 White Toyota Land Cruiser. RECOVERED.
Kula:
- Friday, 12/9/11, 9:20 a.m.: 10000 Block of Kula Highway. 2008 Blue Dodge Ram 1500 pick up. MSZ555.
Waiehu:
- Sunday, 12/4/11, 9 a.m.: Hoomau Street. 2008 Orange/Black KTM dirt bike. RECOVERED.
Wailuku:
- Tuesday, 12/6/11, 2:58 p.m.: Mahalani Street. 2010 Black Mercedes-Benz, C300. RECOVERED.
