UPDATE: Maui Police ID Murder Victim

A murder investigation continues into the death of a man whose body was found on Christmas Day in Kahului.

Maui Police have since identified the man as William George Sublett, 57, formerly of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Authorities have since confirmed the cause of death to be severe head trauma.

Sublett’s body was found just east of the Kahului Wastewater Treatment Plant along Amala Place.

An investigation is ongoing.
