Rescue crews were dispatched to the Olivine Pools in Kahakuloa on Sunday to assist a 55-year-old woman who suffered from a possible broken or sprained ankle.

The incident was reported at around 5:30 p.m. in a steep section of the trail leading down to the area.

Officials say firefighters from Engine 11 met up with the woman and carried her a half-mile up the trail.

The visitor, from Vancouver, Washington, required no medical transport, according to authorities.
