Mama’s Fish House Gets Top 2 Ranking on OpenTable List

Mama’s Fish House on Maui earned number two ranking on the elite list of top US restaurants released by OpenTable, an online restaurant reservation company.

The ranking was part of the company’s 2013 Diner’s Choice Awards, which ranked  St. Francis Winery & Vineyards in Santa Rosa, California as number one.

According to a company press release, the list was based on more than 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners at approximately 19,000 restaurants across the nation.

The OpenTable ranking comes on the heels of another survey issued by TripAdvisor, which ranked Mama’s Fish House 10th on a list of top restaurants in the US.

Other restaurants included in the OpenTable list were: (3) n/naka in Los Angeles, California; (4) Halls Chophouse in Charleston, South Carolina; (5) Charleston in Baltimore, Maryland; (6) o ya in Boston, Massachusetts; (7) Orchids at Palm Court in Cincinnati, Ohio; (8) Fearrington House Restaurant in Pittsboro, North Carolina; (9) The French Laundry in Yountville, California; and (10) goosefoot in Chicago, Illinois.

Mama’s Fish House is located along the scenic Hāna Highway just before Hoʻokipa Beach Park.

A write-up in the latest Maui Visitors Bureau newsletter states, “Its idyllic oceanfront setting and well-appointed luxury cottages make Mama’s Fish House Restaurant & Inn the perfect destination for visitors from across the globe.”
