Hāna Man Arrested After Weekend Scuffle With Police

A 35-year-old Hāna man was arrested and charged with first degree assault against a police officer, when he failed to leave a business establishment in Hāna, after being requested to do so several times, police said.
Joseph Villiarimo was also charged with resisting arrest, second degree criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct.
The charges stem from an incident reported at 9:52 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 in which say Villiarimo refused to comply with officers and allegedly punched a responding officer during the incident.
Villiarimo was being held in lieu of $9,000 bail at last report.
Police say additional charges may be pending.
