Council Meeting Moved to Oct. 6 to Accommodate Travel

The first Maui County Council meeting in October will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. in the Council Chamber.

The meeting date was adjusted to accommodate travel for council members who are on official business, according to an announcement issued by Council Chair Mike White.

The council normally meets on the first and third Fridays each of month.

White said the agenda for the council meeting is expected to be posted on Sept. 29, a week ahead of the planned meeting.

Agenda items may include:

  • Bill 68 to approve zoning for Kīhana Nursery in Kīhei;
  • Bill 69 to grant a five-year conditional permit for He-Man Landscaping in Lahaina; and
  • Bill 70 to provide infrastructure exemptions for qualified applicants on the Upcountry water meter list.

White said the public is encouraged to check posted agendas on the council calendar.
