An early morning fire at a Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar company repair shop in Puʻunēnē was brought under control and extinguished within a half an hour.

The incident was reported at 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 near the company’s sugar mill.

Firefighters from Kahului arrived at 1:27 a.m. to find a small fire burning within a tractor repair building along the old Puʻunēnē Avenue.

Firefighters brought the fire under control at 1:34 a.m., and called it extinguished at 1:50 a.m.

Fire officials say the fire was reported by HC&S employees in another building nearby.

Fire officials say the cause of the fire was undetermined and no injuries were reported.
