“Teamwork provides the ultimate competitive advantage in business, because it is both so powerful and so rare,” explained Mullens. “A high-functioning team can achieve its potential and this is how companies become more productive and effective. It also reduces the stress and dissatisfaction for everyone involved.”

Mullens is currently president & CEO of Maui-based PlayBook Consulting Group, a management consulting firm that specializes in statewide strategic planning and organizational effectiveness. She has developed and facilitated hundreds of workshops and retreats for Hawai’i’s leading corporate, small business, nonprofit, and government communities. As an expert in change management, cultural transformation, and cross-sector collaborative problem solving, her approach builds team capacity and confidence to get the job done.

“Leslie’s reputation for excellence was validated when our board of directors engaged her to facilitate our own strategic planning workshop,” said MNHCoC president Teri Freitas Gorman. “We left our workshop with realistic, achievable goals and a clear action plan. Learning how to overcome barriers to effective teamwork can unlock success for any company or community organization. This is a rare opportunity to hear from an expert in this area, don’t miss it.”

MNHCoC members will also vote for, or against, proposed changes to its bylaws during this dinner.

No-host cocktails and networking will begin at 5:30 pm with dinner catered by Hoapili Ane.
