VIDEO: Verizon Opens Smart Store on Maui, Hires 25 Employees
Verizon opened a new store on Maui on Friday, and its third Smart Store in the state. The new store is located at 80 Ho‘okele Street in the Puʻunēnē Shopping Center near the Target store in Kahului. The space is a 2,000+ square foot upgrade from its old location at the Maui Marketplace in Kahului.
The store welcomes 25 team members and offers a new-and-improved Lifestyle Zones where customers can learn cutting-edge wireless technology and improve their mobile experience.
Stephanie Wu, district manager at Verizon said Verizon Smart Stores are organized in interactive lifestyle zones to provide demos of wireless devices, accessories and apps that fit different interests and needs.
Lifestyle zones include: Get Fit, Amplify It, Home and On the Go, Have Fun, Anywhere Business, and Customize It.
Leslie Wilkins, vice president at Maui Economic Development Board was among those encouraged by the investment in technology.
Verizon was voted the #1 network in Hawaiʻi in 2017 for the seventh year in a row.
