Keiki Fun Planned at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center
Hello Summer!, an exciting series of activities for keiki, will take place at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center (QKC) from June through August 2018. The series consists of three activity components:
Read-A-Palooza
Read-A-Palooza is scheduled every Mon. from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Keiki up to age 12 are welcome to join Mrs Readaloud as she reads her favorite book. The event is followed by a colorful procession to Maui Friends of the Library where all keiki will receive one free book.
Bingo-A-Go-Go
Bingo-A-Go-Go is scheduled every Tues. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event features free bingo games with great prizes hosted by master of ceremonies from Blue Zones Project and Maui Minyo Kai, alternating weekly. Participants must be 12 years or older. There are no reservations, chair holds, outside chairs or food and beverage permitted. Due to Blue Zones Project Bingo, Blue Zones Fridays that are regularly scheduled the 2nd Friday of the month will be on hiatus commencing in June. Blue Zones Fridays will in Sept.
Game-Me-On
Game-Me-On is scheduled every Mon. and Thurs. from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Giant chess, checkers and connect 4-style games will be set in the center court to enjoy. Participants must be 6 years or older. There are no reservations required. A 30 minute time limit is requested for each game, with exception of chess. Giant games are limited to one game per person should others be waiting.
