A new north shore residential development features 16 custom home sites centered around a dedicated 75-acre community farm. The Peʻahi Farms agri-community is located on 232 acres near the famed big wave surf break often referred to as “Jaws.”
Home sites range in size from 2.7 to 25 acres with prices ranging from $1.2 million to $2.99 million. Seven of the 16 parcels are oceanfront lots and all support future farming operations for local producers.
The bluff property sits atop 130-foot cliffs that capture the prevailing Maui North Shore tradewinds. On-site wells provide autonomous water supply to both the farms and home sites.
“We are proud to be a part of this intriguing development concept that focuses on Maui’s rich farming heritage,” said Matt Beall, CEO at Hawai‘i Life, the real estate brokerage firm representing the development.
“Conscientious planning by the developers integrates estate home sites and farmlands. It’s a unique, low-density approach that’s distinct from the typical, condensed land use we often find in Hawai‘i,” said Beall.
Hawai‘i Life Realtor-Brokers Josh Jerman and Tim Stice, both Maui residents, are the exclusive listing agents of the farm estate parcels, of which 14 are available. Jerman said, “Residents at Peʻahi Farms will benefit from privacy by design, while simultaneously supporting local farming initiatives so essential to Maui’s future. Each farm estate site is purposefully placed to maximize each homeowner’s privacy and views.”
Stice said, “We met with a local agricultural specialist who recommended some potential plantings for the property. Aside from local produce, just some of the possibilities for this property include palms, ti, dragonfruit, lilikoʻi, Samoa cocos and dryland kalo. Aside from growing local tropical plants, using the acreage for horses is also a possibility.”
