80-Year-Old Woman Accused in Kahului Stabbing Arrested for Assault
An 80-year-old woman accused of a stabbing in Kahului over the weekend, was arrested on second degree assault.
The incident stemmed from a report of a stabbing fronting the Kahului Salvation Army at 45 West Kamehameha Avenue at around 9:48 a.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2018.
Responding officers found 55-year-old Lauralee Basbas fronting the facility with a puncture wound to the right side of her abdomen. Authorities say she was able to identify the female offender as 80-year-old Natividad Domingo.
Basbas was taken to the Maui Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
Domingo was arrested and taken to the Wailuku Police Station where she was charged with assault.
