Kahului Disorderly Conduct: Man Found with Unloaded Air Pistol

Maui police initiated a disorderly conduct case against a man after receiving reports of a male who was allegedly brandishing a weapon.  Responding Wailuku Patrol officers made contact with a 28-year-old man and found out that the weapon in his possession was an unloaded air pistol.

The incident was reported at around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, in the area of the Lono Building in Kahului.

Other than the calls to dispatch there were no complaints made against the man.  Because of the public alarm caused by the incident, police initiated the disorderly conduct case and forwarded it to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
