County to Host Fair Housing Training

The County of Maui’s Housing Division is inviting the public to a free Fair Housing Training from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 3 at the University of Hawaiiʻ Maui College campus.

The training is designed to increase knowledge of federal and state fair housing laws. Organizers say the workshop is well-suited to housing providers, landlords and tenants, as well as any other service providers or individuals wishing to increase their knowledge.

The training is brought to members of the public by the County of Maui, the Hawaiʻi Civil Rights Commission and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi residents may participate remotely. They are encouraged to register and attend.

Registration forms must be completed and submitted to the County of Maui Housing Division by Friday, March 27.

This training is accessible for persons with disabilities. To request an accommodation, please contact the Housing Division office by Monday, March 23.

Registration forms will be available online at the County of Maui’s Housing Division website, as well as in-person at the Housing Division office, located at 2065 Main St., Suite 108, Wailuku 96793.
