Maui Brewers Festival Goes Virtual

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center will hold a ‘virtual’ Maui Brewers Festival on Saturday, May
16.

This first-ever Brewfest@Home event takes place on the original date the 2020 MACC fundraiser was to take place before postponement due to Covid-19. The purpose of the virtual event is to keep the Brewfest tradition of celebrating craft beer, food, music and more while the MACC works to set a new date for the next Maui Brewers Festival.

The event takes place on the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Facebook and Instagram stories. Participants can follow the event @MauiArtsCulture on Instagram or Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Facebook starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16.

Brewfest@Home invites fans age 21 and over to still have a modified experience of craft beer tasting.
Followers just need to go to @MauiArtsCulture on Instagram or Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Facebook. But, to be properly prepared ahead of time, participants can pull from their home craft beer supply or purchase some craft brews at their favorite retailer.

The afternoon will include trivia games, musical performances by Shea Butter & the Cream, lessons on how to ‘Drink at Home Like a Pro” with Maui Brewing Co. founder Garrett Marrero and MBC Brew Master Kim Brisson-Lutz, and more. And followers can get into the action by posting photos or videos of themselves enjoying their brews. They just use the hashtag #BrewFestAtHome and tag @MauiArtsCulture as well as their chosen brewery in the photo. And for non-beer drinkers, participants can use a Maui Brewing Co. Root Beer or a VitaliTea Kombucha or Cold Brew and have the same fun.
