This year, the run will start at a new location on Market Street. Runners will then turn onto Vineyard Street and ascend to Main Street connecting onto ‘Īao Valley Road, turning around at the ‘Īao Valley State parking lot and then back to Wailuku.
The finish line will remain in the Wailuku Municipal parking lot, which is also where runners can park.
“The ‘Īao Valley 10K is an annual favorite Maui run that is very scenic, challenging and a lot of fun for runners of all ages and abilities,” said Jim Lynch, Vice President of the Valley Isle Road Runners.
Awards will be given to the overall top three men and women finishers along with the top three finishers in designated age divisions.
The cost is $25 for Valley Isle Road Runner members, $35 for non-members, and $45 for registration the morning of the event. Registration includes a T-Shirt.
Officials say they anticipate the run to be the same route to the ‘Īao Valley State Park and back however, if the State Park is not open there will be route adjustments for the runners.
