Maui Man Wanted on Assault Allegations

We have since removed the photo that was released in an earlier posting along with this story. Officials at Crime Stoppers say Bascar was taken into custody without incident after authorities received a tip of his whereabouts on September 29, 2012.

Authorities from the Maui Police Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in locating 24-year-old Erino Dayton Bascar.
Officials say Bascar is wanted for allegations of assault and unauthorized entry of motor vehicle.
Bascar is described as 5-feet 7-inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Bascar is asked to contact Maui Crime Stoppers at (808) 242-6966, or toll free from the neighbor islands at (888) 242-6966.
Maui Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of individuals in unsolved crimes.
The public should consider all wanted persons as dangerous and should not approach, follow or take other action that could put themselves in danger.
The public is reminded that the information provided by authorities is merely an accusation, and all parties are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
