California Man Dies, Found Unresponsive While Swimming off Lāna‘i

A 61-year-old visitor from Escondido, California, was pulled unresponsive from waters off of Lānaʻi on Tuesday afternoon.

The male victim is a 66-year-old California man, and also a part-time Lānaʻi resident.

BRIEF: Body of Local Man Pulled from Lana’i Waters

The body of a 45-year-old local man was pulled from waters off of Lana’i on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Authorities say the incident was reported at 4:09 p.m. in waters fronting Hulopoe Beach.
