#water line break

Due to heavy rains, a 2-inch water line broke and is running through a drain culvert on Kula Highway and Lower Kula Road.

The Department of Water Supply reports a water service outage in Upper Kula from Waiakoa Road to Polipoli Road, due to a break/replacement of an eight inch main line.

The Water Department will temporarily close Kaʻahumanu Avenue due to water line repairs between Puʻunēnē Avenue to Hāna Highway. The closure is for all three Pāʻia bound lanes of Kaʻahumanu Avenue.

The Department of Water Supply is reporting a water outage today in Pukalani from Aina Lani Drive to Keikilani Street because of a break in an 8-inch main waterline. The break occurred in a remote and difficult-to-reach gulch below Kamehameha Schools.

Water was shut off at Polo Beach Park in South Maui due to a main break in the park’s water line.

An estimated 100 residential and 20 commercial water customers in South Maui are without water this morning as crews work to repair a main line break in Kīhei.

There’s no water available for customers from Makawao Avenue and Makani Road to Pukalani Superette.

The closure of Front Street will extend from Kenui Street to Baker Street from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m.

This job is a continuation of the waterline repair job last week.  Only one lane will be open to traffic from approximately 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Water customers in Honokōhau Valley are currently without water due to a waterline break. The break has been located and will be repaired next week.

Lower Honoapiʻilani Rd will be restricted to one lane traffic fronting Kahana Sunset from 9a-2:30p to facilitate road repairs after Monday’s waterline break.

Lower Honoapiʻilani Road in West Maui is partially closed due to an eight-inch waterline break.

A crew remains on-site and it is anticipated that road work will continue until approximately 3 p.m. today.

The Department of Water Supply today announced that repairs to waterline breaks in North Kīhei and Haʻikū were repaired and service restored in both areas.
