The National Weather Service has issued a small craft advisory for Maui County windward waters as well as the Alenuihaha Channel from 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.

East winds are expected to be blowing at around 25 knots with bigger gusts, and seas of 8-12 feet are expected.

The conditions are expected to create hazardous conditions for small craft.  The NWS advises that inexperience mariners avoid navigating in such conditions.
