Next Wednesday, May 29, from 6 to 9 p.m., the Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas will be hosting “Pure Pleasure,” a night of fanciful fun and style benefiting local charities.

In its third year, Pure Pleasure will kick off the evening at Pulehu, an Italian Grill, with a fashion show featuring celebrity designer Maggie Coulombe.

A Toronto native living here on Maui, Coulombe has dressed celebrities from Paris Hilton to Halle Berry.

Coulombe plans to surprise event attendees with a special themed fashion evening in support of this local event. “By partnering The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas, we can spread more awareness and gather everyone together to make invaluable contributions,” said Coulombe.

Spa Helani’s Experience Lead and Kupa’a Kouncil chair Jonathan Kamoku expressed similar sentiments. “When The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas opened in 2003, we worked hard in establishing Kupa’a Kouncil to support local non-profit organizations as well as corporate community objectives,” said Kamoku. “We look forward to raising monies to benefit the causes of the various organizations we support every year,” he added.

In addition to the fashion show, deejay Mackie Mac from DaJam 98.3FM will be spinning tunes.

There will also be red carpet photo opportunities with Maui’s finest, a live auction, and a chance to win a spa service at the resort’s Spa Helani, a Heavenly Spa by Westin, and appetizers presented by Chef Wes Holder throughout the evening.

Each event attendee will enjoy a complimentary beverage and a Westin goodie bag with Spa Helani’s signature Hualani products, special discounts and opportunities to enjoy prize giveaways.

Tickets are $50 per person.

The event is open to adults 21 years and older, and parents who plan to join in the celebrations can arrange to leave their children (ages 5 to 12 only) at the resort’s Keiki Night Camp (charges apply).

Reservations are highly recommended. Call 808-667-3254.
