Friends and family of a missing pregnant Maui woman will meet this morning to resume a search, focusing on the Hāna Highway between Haʻikū and Keʻanae.

Carly “Charli” Joann Scott, 27, was last seen on Sunday night in Haʻikū and was last known to have left the area to assist her ex-boyfriend who family members say asked for help in getting his car out of a ditch in the East Maui area near mile post 20 of the Hāna Highway.

The woman’s dog, who was with her when she went missing, was found near the Nāhiku Market Place, and family members say her vehicle was located last night in Peʻahi mauka of the surf spot known as “Jaws.”

A search party will meet today at 8 a.m. at the Door of Faith road in Huelo.

Family members posted an update online saying, “Above all, we need high hope and the will and want to find Charli safe and well with her unborn baby.”

Today’s efforts come after a search yesterday involving an estimated 25 people, focused on the Hāna Highway at mile post 20 in Keʻanae, and miles 27 to 29 in Nāhiku.

Scott, who is 5 months pregnant, is described as 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with shoulder length red hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Wendell Loo at (808) 270-6516 during business hours or (808) 268-2763 after hours.

Family members have also set up a Facebook page to assist in disseminating information on the search and updates regarding the case.

“Charli” Anonymous Tip Survey:

Family and friends of a missing Carly “Charli” Scott launched an online anonymous tip survey today where the public can provide anonymous tips on her whereabouts or information that led to her disappearance.  27-year-old Carly Scott, who is also known as “Charli” by close friends, was last known to have left the Haiku area on Sunday night to assist her ex-boyfriend who family members say asked for help in getting his car out of a ditch in East Maui.  A search is underway today along the Hana highway and coastline from Haʻikū to Keʻanae.   The survey can be found at the following direct LINK.
