Rather, the resort invites you join them this Thursday, April 17 in their Molokini Bar & Grille for an “Around the Bay” taste of San Francisco.

This latest version of Makena’s Food and Wine Education Series features – as always – Hawaii’s youngest master sommelier, Patrick Okubo.

He shares shares his expertise on three modern wine choices, while the resort’s Chef De Cuisine Kurt Lesmerises demonstrates how to make one of night’s featured tasting dishes.

The resort notes that pairings include:

  • Lancaster, Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma 2012 with Beet and Arugula Salad.
  • Fetzer, Crimson Pinot Noir, Lodi 2011 alongside Chicken Rillettes with Strawberry Jam.
  • Foley Johnson, Red Blend Napa 2010 alongside Beef Wellington.

This wine education event is offered at $45 per person, not including tax or gratuity.
