Maui Lane Closures for Oct. 3 – 9

On the roadways, the state Department of Transportation has four projects scheduled this week on Maui County roads.

Kahului: In Kahului, 24-hour lane shifts are planned on the Old Haleakalā Highway between Aʻalele Street and Kala Road for roadway construction.  Flaggers will be stationed throughout the area to direct motorists around the work area.  The project is being conducted during the nights and weekends.

Pāʻia: In Paia, a single lane closure is planned on the Hanā Highway in both directions between Ulumaika Place and the Pāʻia Mini-Bypass Road nightly between 8:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. for road repairs.

Wailua: In Wailua, there is an around the clock left lane closure on the Hanā Highway in the eastbound direction between Kalaloa Point and Keʻanae Road between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily for roadway improvements.

Kāʻanapali:  Transportation crews will be implementing an alternating single lane closure on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in both directions at the Kāʻanapali Parkway intersection between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily while crews conduct traffic light maintenance.

All work is weather permitting.
