Hawaiian Airlines to Offer Daily Service from LA & Oakland to Kaua‘i

Recognizing the strength of visitor demand for vacations to the Garden Isle, Hawaiian Airlines will increase flights between Kaua‘i and California during the summer of 2016.

Daily service between Līhu‘e, and Oakland and Los Angeles will take place during the peak travel months—
mid-June through September.

Additionally, Hawaiian will reinstate non-stop service to Kona from both Oakland and LA as
part of the airline’s popular seasonal routes.

“Next summer will mark Hawaiian’s third year offering more options to our guests during the peak travel period,” said Peter Ingram, Hawaiian Airlines executive vice president and chief commercial officer. “Thanks to the robust demand from West Coast travelers, we are pleased to build on the success of our seasonal routes by introducing daily service from California to Kaua‘i.”

Beginning May 27, the airline will offer three-times weekly service from Oakland to both Līhu‘e and
Kona, four-times weekly service from LA to Kona, and increase its regular nonstop service
between LA and Līhu‘e to four-times weekly.

From mid-June through Sept. 5, service to Kaua‘i from both Oakland and LA will be offered daily.

The seasonal Oakland and LA service to Kaua‘i and Hawai‘i Island will add nearly 74,000 air seats to these travel markets over 14 weeks of service.
