Country music superstars Lee Brice and Tyler Farr will perform at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s A&B Amphitheater/Yokouchi Pavilion on March 6, 2016. Opening the show will be Maui’s rising star, singer-songwriter Lily Meola.
Tickets go on sale to MACC members on Saturday, Dec. 19 and to the general public on Saturday, Jan. 9.
Brice returns to Maui after his hugely successful MACC concert last year. He is a craftsman, the kind whose boundless desire to hone his skills and relentless pursuit of perfection are matched only by his humility about the entire process. His debut album, Love Like Crazy and its title track set a record in 2009 as the longest-charting song in Billboard’s Country history. His 2012 album, Hard 2 Love featured three No. 1 singles including the AMA and CMA Song of the Year winner I Drive Your Truck. His newest album, I Don’t Dance, which also includes his latest single, That Don’t Sound Like You, is a showcase for his painstaking approach to writing and recording, with his distinctive fingerprints clearly emblazoned on every element of the album.
Country singer and songwriter Farr had an early exposure to country music; his father played lead guitar in country icon George Jones’ touring band. Moving to Nashville at an early age, he worked odd jobs while working on his songwriting and singing career. Redneck Crazy became his first hit, reaching number two on Billboard’s country charts, earning a platinum certification and turning Farr into a star. Released in the fall of 2013, the album of the same name performed well, debuting at five on the Billboard Top 200 and spawning another hit Whiskey in My Water. Farr delivered his follow-up quickly, releasing A Guy Walks into a Bar, in the fall of 2014, and then Suffer in Peace in April, 2015.
Tickets are $39, $49, $59, $79 and a limited number of $129 premium seats are available (plus applicable fees).
