24th Annual Haʻikū Ho’olaule’a and Flower Festival, April 22

The 24th annual Haʻikū Ho’olaule’a and flower festival will take place on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Haʻikū Elementary School.

The event will feature an artisan marketplace, food from local restaurants and the Haʻikū PTA, the Haʻikū Bake Sale, one of the largest and most unique silent auctions on Maui, pie baking, floral design and lei making contests, a Haʻikū historical display, a book swap, Growers Market, and much more.

The festival strives to be eco-friendly and asks that visitors bring their own water bottles, plates, silverware and shopping bags, if possible.

The Haʻikū Ho’olaule’a is a benefit for Haʻikū Elementary, Haʻikū Community Association and Boys & Girls Club Maui-Haʻikū. The school relies on proceeds to provide arts, music and science enrichment programs for the students.

The free event will feature live music including Dr Nat and Rio Ritmo, Maui Samba Band, Crazy Fingers, Uncle Richard Ho’opii and ‘ohana and Eric Gilliom.

The 2017 Ho’olaule’a also features a special new interactive Keiki Zone which will have fun games and activities and the addition of Digital Bus Maui, a Mobile Science & Technology Education Laboratory, offering keiki a hands-on educational adventure.

Volunteers for set up on April 21, and day of event April 22, are welcome.
