Pi‘iholo Ranch Zipline Wins “Best Land Activity on Maui”

Pi‘iholo Ranch Zipline is celebrating recent accolades as the “Best Land Activity on Maui” for 2017.

“We are honored and extremely grateful to the residents and visitors that support us and took the time to vote for “Best of Maui”, said Cori Seki, General Manager of PRZ which opened in 2008 with two courses above Makawao town.

“This award,” which was chosen by readers of The Maui News, “is a first for us, and it is a direct result of the dedication and hard work of our employees in showcasing our beautiful setting while promoting a safe and exhilarating family experience,” said Seki.

Today, PRZ’s ziplines soar high above the grasslands and rolling hills, lush forest and rocky ravines of the historic 800-acre Piʻiholo Ranch. From its location on the slopes of Haleakalā, the views of the island are stunning. Company executives say the attraction offers a wide variety of activities designed for anyone from age 8 to 108.

The six-line Tower Zipline Course includes lines ranging in heights from 42 feet to 800 feet above ground and from 480 feet to over a half-mile long – the longest side-by-side zipline in Hawaiʻi.

A different adventure awaits riders on The Treetop Canopy Course. On this course, riders can swing through the trees lat heights ranging from 14-120 feet above ground. The company’s new “QUICKjump” device, which, after the initial “free fall” sensation gently lowers riders to the ground, is also part of The Canopy Course. In addition, guests can challenge themselves on our 42-foot high climbing tower with seven unique climbs.

Numerous onsite zipline packages are available, and some can be combined with a tranquil waterfall hike and swim, as well. For the less adventurous, walk along tours are also available.
