The summer baking class at University of Hawai‘i Maui College (UHMC) Culinary Arts Program is in session, and you can reap the benefits from the hard work of those baking students, led by coordinator Chef Teresa Shurilla.

Every Friday starting June 22, 2018, visit the Back Door Bake Shop (enter through the back door of the Pā‘ina Building) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to purchase some of the very best baked goods on Maui.  The opportunity runs through the end of July.

Here’s the schedule:

Friday, June 22 – Bread (French Baguettes, Sourdough, White Pan Bread, Focaccia, and more)
Friday, June 29 – Croissant, Brioche, Danish, Scones, Muffins, Sticky Buns
Friday, July 6 – Napoleons, Cream Puffs, Pithivier, Eclairs
Friday, July 13 – Cookies and Brownies and Bars (Oh, Boy!)
Friday, July 20 – Petite Fours
Friday, July 27 – Bon-Bons (for the big finish!)

They do not anticipate any changes, but if so, will update the weekly schedule.  Everything is made fresh, and organizers say you can fill up for $10 or less.  For more about UHMC Culinary Arts Program, please visit here.
