Lana‘i, Moloka‘i Fishers Can Register Laynets

Lana‘i and Moloka‘i fishers can register their laynets with staff of the Department of Land and Natural Resources this month.   Staff from the Aquatic Resources Division will be on both islands for scheduled public hearings on proposed amendments to bottomfish rules. They will also be available to issue commercial fishing licenses and explain the new online commercial catch reporting system.

The meeting times and dates are as follows:

Moloka‘i – Wednesday, March 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mitchell Pau‘ole Center conference room, 90 ‘Ainoa Street, Kaunakakai

Lana‘i – Friday, March 19, 10 am – 1 p.m. at the DLNR DOFAW/DOCARE office Lana‘i Hunter Check Station at 917 Frasier Avenue, Lana‘i
