This position is responsible for the direct supervision of technicians, overseeing the shop with the service writer and foreman, assisting other technicians as needed, communicating and advising customers (both external and internal) of all aspects of repairs, and for enforcing company’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities:
Maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of equipment.
Able to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Adjust, repair, or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites.
Test the repaired equipment for proper performance.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Experience using Micrometers to measure tight tolerances.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision but also participate in the work of other mechanics and apprentices within the shop and field environment.
Must be able to use CDK system to do all work orders, such as detailed stories of all warranty and repairs, download pictures etc.
Ensure the repairs required are in a safe and effective manner.
Ensure that all repairs are completed on time & in an efficient manner as assigned.
Ensure the cosmetic appearance upon completion as required.
Ensure all parts and materials not used are returned as per guidelines.
Must be able to use CDK system to do all work orders, such as detailed stories of all warranty and repairs, download pictures etc.
All specialty tools used on the job are obtained using established methods.
All tools and special equipment used for repairs are clean before returning to the tool room.
All specialty tools used on jobs are returned to the original location in working condition.
All communications with customers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect, honesty and promoting a positive company image.
Perform diagnostic inspections as directed.
All inspections required to determine the cause of failure are done following established guidelines.
All inspections are completed with cause of failure identified.
All failures identified are matched to solutions necessary to affect a repair.

Qualifications:
7+ years of mining or construction related experience.
Have own tools and driver’s license.
Knowledge and experience working with excavators, loaders, dozers, pavers, aerial, and/or material handling equipment preferred.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals relating to manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements.
Must have a demonstrated ability to efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical systems common to construction and/or material handling equipment products.
Experience in a customer facing role and a sound understanding of the importance of customer relationships.
Must have no restrictions for access to any mine, construction, or warehouse sites.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and experience working in field environment.
Good organizational and planning skills.
Strong attention to detail and able to work within the framework of multiple deadlines.
Hold a strong standard for quality and safety.
Have a team-oriented approach and thought process.
5 plus years’ experience in automotive Diesel trucks and heavy equipment, have ASE certifications, MACS certification to handle R134 refrigerant or equivalent.
