BREAKING: 5 Bodies Recovered from Molokai Helicopter Crash

Maui police are on the scene of a fatal helicopter crash on the east end of Molokai that claimed the lives of all five people aboard.

Maui firefighters were dispatched to respond to a 9-1-1 call at around 12:23 p.m., reporting the incident.

Maui police say the helicopter was a Blue Hawaiian tour that listed five people who were supposed to be on board, according to its flight manifest.

All five bodies have been recovered, according to Maui Police Lt. Wayne Ibarra.

Lt. Ibarra said the incident occurred just above Kilohana School.  He said emergency responders were able to access the area on foot to recover the bodies.

Emergency response personnel remain on scene, and will update the situation as more information becomes available.
