Author David Sedaris to Return to Maui

Monday morning, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m., MACC members can purchase tickets to author David Sedaris’ upcoming reading in March.
On Friday, March 7, 2014, the NPR humorist and author returns to Maui for an evening of cutting wit, social satire, and riveting conversation, in celebration of his newest title: Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls.
According to Wikipedia, Sedaris was discovered in a Chicago club by radio host Ira Glass.
At the time, Sedaris was reading a diary he had kept since 1977. Impressed, Glass asked him to appear on his weekly local program, The Wild Room.
About this, Sedaris said, “I owe everything to Ira … My life just changed completely, like someone waved a magic wand.”
It’s been 20 years, and many national bestselling books like Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Holidays on Ice, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, and Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk.
