Dunkin’ Donuts is Coming to Maui: Plans 15 Restaurants in Hawaiʻi
The national franchise, Dunkin’ Donuts announced today the signing of a multi-unit store development agreement with Aloha Petroleum, Ltd. to develop 15 new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Hawaiʻi, including stores on Maui, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi and the Big Island of Hawaiʻi.
The first Hawaiʻi franchise is scheduled to open in 2017, becoming the 42nd state to carry Dunkin’ Donuts.
Dunkin’ Donuts has earned the No. 1 ranking for customer loyalty in the coffee category by Brand Keys for 10 years running. It also has more than 11,700 restaurants in 43 countries worldwide.
Aloha Petroleum is a subsidiary of Sunoco LP and employs more than 630 Hawaiʻi residents and markets through approximately 100 Shell, Aloha, and Mahalo branded fueling stations and 46 Aloha Island Marts, four Menehune Food Marts and two Subways throughout the state.

Dunkin’ Donuts was founded in 1950 and carries coffee and baked goods including: hot coffee, iced coffee, flavored coffees, lattes, macchiato, espresso, cappuccino, Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup® pods, Coolatta® frozen drinks, donuts, muffins, bagels, breakfast and bakery sandwiches, and a DDSMART® menu featuring “better-for-you” items.

Company executives say that in an effort to keep the brand fresh and competitive, Dunkin’ Donuts offers “flexible concepts for any real estate format including free-standing restaurants, end caps, in-line sites, gas and convenience, travel plazas, universities, as well as other retail environments.”
