Looking Ahead
Moderate trade winds are expected through Sunday. The trades will then re-strengthen to windy levels for much of next week. Clouds and showers will focus mainly over windward and mauka areas, although the trades will deliver showers to leeward areas from time to time. Shower coverage and intensity is expected to increase Sunday through Tuesday as a disturbance passes over the islands.

Mostly cloudy skies are forecast with scattered windward showers in the morning and showers likely in the afternoon. Leeward spots should should get scattered showers. East winds are expected from 15 to 20 mph. High temperatures from 85° to 90°. On Sunday, mostly cloudy skies with showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms on Maui.
