Maui Falls to Chinese Taipei in Bid for Big League World Series Title

The Maui Big League All-Stars fell 6-2 to Asia-Pacific (Chinese Taipei) during the world title game on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 2, 2016.
The championship loss came after a national title win against the South-East team (Tarpon Springs, Fla.) 4-1 on Monday.

The Maui Big League All-Stars advance to the championship game of the Big League World Series in Easley, S.C. today. (The game will be aired live on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. EDT, 2 p.m. Hawaiʻi time.)
The 17 and 18-year-old Maui team advances to the title game after defeating the South-East team (Tarpon Springs, Fla.) 4-1 on Monday for the national title.
Maui plays Asia-Pacific (Chinese Taipei) for the world title after Asia-Pacific defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 in the other final round match-up on Monday.
