Maui Pony League Team Up for World Series Title
UPDATE: 5:15 p.m.: The Maui Pony League team ended their World Series journey as runner-up, second only to Chinese Taipei, with a final title game score of 12-2. The FULL STORY is posted HERE.

Another Maui team is headed to a world series title match. The Maui Pony team defeated Bay County, Michigan 19-3 on Tuesday night to win a spot in the 2016 DICK’S Sporting Goods PONY League World Series championship game.
The Maui team faces Chinese Taipei in the championship game set for 7:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. HST) today, Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016. Watch the game LIVE HERE.
The Maui boys defeated Germany 9-0 on Sunday, and Laredo, Texas 6-5 on Monday.
Over the weekend, the Central Maui Little League All-Stars earned their World Series title after defeating Seoul, South Korea 5-1 on Sunday.
Meantime, the Central East Maui Majors from Wailuku are playing the Little League West Regional tournament taking place in San Bernardino, CA from August 7-13, 2016. The Maui team of 11- and 12-year-olds defeated Nevada, 8-0 in the tournament opener on Sunday.
They also won their followup game on Monday with a 5-2 victory against Snow Canyon, Utah. Their next game is on Thursday, Aug. 11 against Park View, Southern California.
