Son’z Steakhouse Maui presents the newest food and wine dinner series on the island, called “Off da Vine.” The special dinners present an opportunity for guests to savor gourmet cuisine paired with exceptional wines and connect directly with the winemakers as they provide insights and commentaries on the specific wines.

“Dining experiences are greatly elevated with proper pairings of food and wine by complementing and letting the characteristics of each shine,” says Geno Sarmiento, executive chef of Son’z Steakhouse and Tri-Star Restaurants. “Having the winemakers come in person to share the subtlety of each varietal and vintage with our guests make for a more personal, connected and fun experience.”

“Off da Vine” food and winemaker dinner series starts on Friday, Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m. and will be offered for one night every other month thereafter. The first dinner will feature five courses by Sarmiento paired with MauiWine’s ‘Ulupalakua Vineyards and Rose Ranch wines presented by winemaker Mark Beaman.

“We always focus on supporting our local partners so we are thrilled to spotlight MauiWine as the first in the series. It farms and crafts incredible wines right in our backyard so the fit was natural,” says Sarmiento.
