July 08, 2018 Surf Forecast
Swell Summary
Outlook through Sunday July 15: East swell from former Tropical Cyclone Fabio will decline and trade winds will weaken, resulting a gradual decline in surf heights along east facing shores. Moderate trades will prevail Monday, with a slight increase from Tuesday through the rest of the week. Surf will gradually lower along south facing shores today through Monday, with a moderate boost due in around late Tuesday. No other significant swell or surf is expected.
Surf heights are forecast heights of the face, or front, of waves. The surf forecast is based on the significant wave height, the average height of the one third largest waves, at the locations of the largest breakers. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the significant wave height. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near any surf zone.
