Sheraton Maui Appoints New Director of Catering and Event Management

Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa has appointed John Motola as the resort’s new Director of Catering and Event Management. Motola will oversee the resort’s catering and event services and be responsible for driving revenue, new business development, and achieving guest and employee satisfaction.

“Motola is a leader in delivering operational excellence and building relationships with team members, guests and clients. We are thrilled to have him join the Sheraton Maui ‘ohana as we continue our efforts to provide seamless service while executing unparalleled experiences for our guests,” said Mike Masterson, director of sales and marketing for Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.

Motola was previously Director of Catering and Convention Services at Millennium Minneapolis in Minneapolis, Minn., and prior to that, served as Director of Catering at Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago, Ill. He has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with more than 20 years with Marriott International. Motola is also a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Certified Professional Catering Executive (CPCE), and Certified Wedding Planner.
