Former Governor Linda Lingle will speak at the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center’s (NVMC) Leadership Series Luncheon on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kahili Golf Course Nahele Ballroom. The Honorable Linda Lingle served as the state’s sixth Governor from 2002-2010. She was the first Republican governor of Hawaii since 1962. Lingle was also the first female governor of Hawai‘i and its first Jewish governor. Prior to serving as governor, Lingle served as Maui County mayor and as a council member. At the luncheon, Governor Lingle will share her thoughts and observations on leadership.
Governor Lingle will close-out the year long “Leadership Series” which welcomed Governors Ariyoshi, Waihee, Ige and Abercrombie throughout 2018. Each Governor shared their views on leadership and the values of aloha in their time on the 5th floor of the Capitol as well as in today’s contemporary society.
The Nisei Veterans Memorial Center is a non-profit organization that aspires to a world where people act selflessly for the greater good.
