$600K Contract for Ha‘ikū Roadwork Begins

Road resurfacing and other work has started on Peʻahi and Paʻuwela roads in Haʻikū, according to the Maui County Department of Public Works.
The $600,500 project contract was awarded Maui Paving LLC.
Work began Wednesday and is scheduled for completion on April 5, 2019.
Work hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, except weekends and holidays.
The affected portion of Peʻahi Road extends 1.2 miles south. On Paʻuwela Road, work includes adjusting water valves and replacing speed humps, striping pavement and installing markers, among other upgrades.
