The search efforts for a missing Oʻahu man is rounding out its fourth day.

27-year-old Kyle Brittain was last seen on the morning of Aug. 30 at the Waipiʻo Valley lookout.

So far, there have been no reports of any indication as to Brittainʻs whereabouts.

In a tearful interview with Big Island Now yesterday, Kyleʻs father, Steve Brittain, begged for help in locating his son.

“I donʻt wish this on anybody. Itʻs unbelievable,” Steve Brittain said.

“So, any help you can give…we love the help and support weʻve got so far but I think weʻre going to need a lot more. Thank you so much for everything so far.”

Family, friends, and volunteers from across the islands flew in to assist with the search.

Among the volunteers is Chris Berquist, who helped find Maui resident Amanda Eller back in May after she went missing in for 17 days in an upcountry forest.

According to a post on a Facebook page dedicated to providing updates on recovery efforts, paratroopers were dropped into the valley earlier today.

“We are extremely grateful for each and every one of you- whether you knew Kyle personally or just heard of his story,” the post read. “We are all lost for words seeing so many people come together to help this cause.”

A “Find Kyle Brittain” gofundme acoount has raised over $9,000.

More updates to come as they develop.
