Power Pole Repair Underway on Honoapi‘ilani at Kuikahi

Honoapiilani Highway is open at this time however emergency units and repair crews will be working to fix the utility pole. Please exercise caution while on the roadways in this inclement weather.

Hawaiian Electric crews are on the scene, working to repair a power pole break in Central Maui.
Police have closed the Honoapiʻilani Highway between Kuikahi Drive in Wailuku and Pilikana Street in Waikapū while repairs are underway. A road closure notice was issued at 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020.
There is no estimated time on when repairs will be completed.
