Operator of Overturned Jet Ski Rescued off Maui

Coast Guard crews on Maui rescued the operator of a Jet Ski after the craft overturned about 200 yards off Haycraft Park on Sunday.
The incident was reported at around 1:08 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.
The Coast Guard deployed a crew from Māʻalaea to assist and issued an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast Notice to mariners.
The operator was recovered from the water and the Jet Ski was towed safely back to Māʻalaea. Department officials say the weather on scene included 20 mph winds and 2 foot seas.
