Restrooms at Kalama Park, Pukalani Park and Lower Pāʻia Park will open starting Wednesday, April 8, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and will be cleaned four times per day.

“Opening these facilities will provide additional restrooms for our homeless community,” Mayor Michael Victorino said. “The public is reminded not to congregate in or around restroom facilities and we ask for the community’s assistance in preventing vandalism.”

Restrooms will be closed during cleaning, and the County parks themselves remain closed. The open Kalama Park restroom is located near the playground area.

County officials say the three restroom facilities have been opened due to a limited supply of personal protective equipment.

Portable restrooms and hand washing stations will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days per week in current locations.
