AARP, Schatz to Host Town Hall

US Sen. Brian Schatz is set to answer questions about financial assistance available to individuals and small businesses through the CARES Act during a Telephone Town Hall sponsored by AARP Hawai`i.

The telephone conference will take place on Wednesday, April 29 from 11:50 a.m to 12:50 p.m.

Participants can register to join the meeting here. The Telephone Town Hall will also be live-streamed to the AARP Hawai`i Facebook page  and can be watched/listened to there after the event is over.

After you sign up, you will receive a phone call on Wednesday, April 29 at the start of the meeting asking you to join our conversation. You can submit a question to staff who will place you in a queue to ask your question of the experts, while you listen to the broadcast.

Joining Sen. Schatz will be Jane Sawyer from the Small Business Association Hawaiʻi, Commissioner Iris Ikeda from the Division of Financial Institutions and Lisa Kimura from Aloha United Way, who will talk about other resources available to people and business who are struggling financially.

The event is free and you don’t have to be an AARP member to participate.
